Where would you suggest as a must-visit on a modern “grand tour” of the UK? The custom of a prolonged trip in western Europe to explore the culture was a rite of passage (for upper-class men) in the 17th and 18th centuries.
But which places in the UK give an unmissable insight into our culture and history today? It might be a sacred site, a museum that educates and inspires, or an attraction that reflects multicultural society. Whatever it is we’d love to hear your suggestions.
If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.
