Chile, this company’s petty is on one-thou-wow! A Georgia man says his former employer owed him $915.00 and they paid it to him in greasy pennies.
According to reports, Andreas Flaten left his job, A OK Walker Autoworks, located in Peachtree City, GA, in November of 2020 and was owed a final payment. But when he received it in March of 2021, it was in the form of 90,000 pennies that appeared to be covered in oil.
Flatten noticed the pennies at the end of his driveway, after coming back home with his girlfriend. Flaten’s final pay stub and an explicit message were also left at the end of his driveway. Flaten stated, “This is a childish thing to do.”
Flaten also said that his time is now spent cleaning the pennies every night. Flaten also said it took him about an hour and a half to clean off several hundred, according to reports.
“I think that’s going to be a lot of work for money I’ve already worked for,” he said. “It’s definitely not fair at all.”
The owner of the company, Miles Walker, told WGCL-TV that he couldn’t recall if he did or didn’t drop the 90,000 pennies off at Flaten’s house.
“I don’t really remember,” Walker told the TV station. “It doesn’t matter he got paid, that’s all that matters.”
Walker went on to call Flaten a “weenie.”
