After a difficult year on many levels, Bachelor stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham announced the happy news that they are expecting their second child on Saturday.
Arie, 39, shared the happy news on his Instagram account, with a lovely gallery of photos that featured the couple’s one-year-old daughter Alessi Ren.
In the first snap, the proud parents sat on a sofa with their little girl in between them, as Arie held up a sign saying ‘Big Sister July 2021’.

The second shot was a close-up of adorable little Alessi holding up the sign herself and smiling.
In the caption, the television personality wrote, ‘And then 2020 completely redeemed itself!’
The news comes after the couple shared back in May that they had suffered a miscarriage.

The pair shared a sobering video to their YouTube channel on May 30th to share the heartbreaking news.
Lauren explained that upon learning she was expecting less than a year after welcoming Alessi, there were complications in the pregnancy from the beginning.
Over the summer, Burnham opened up to Us Magazine about their focus on conceiving, saying that she and her American-Dutch husband were in their second month of trying.
The news comes after the couple shared back in May that they had suffered a miscarriage; Lauren and Alessi seen on Arie’s Instagram
She said, ‘I was always afraid that it wouldn’t work. I think that’s kind of a valid fear if you’ve gone through something like that or just a fear of having to go through it again.’
Burnham, who exchanged vows with Luyendyk in January of 2019, again revealed that they were trying to conceive again during an Instagram Q&A in September.
More recently, Arie shared that he had become infected with COVID-19, around Thanksgiving time.
He isolated from his wife and daughter while recovering, with the pair reuniting happily on Instagram for a cuddle.
