Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 3.31% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 1.94%, and the index added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were Linde PLC (DE:), which rose 6.40% or 13.000 points to trade at 216.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 5.91% or 2.410 points to end at 43.195 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:) was up 5.82% or 7.10 points to 129.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:), which fell 0.73% or 0.75 points to trade at 102.35 at the close. Covestro AG (DE:) declined 0.39% or 0.240 points to end at 61.020 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:) was down 0.35% or 0.300 points to 85.570.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fraport AG (DE:) which rose 7.04% to 55.925, Duerr AG (DE:) which was up 6.24% to settle at 36.420 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) which gained 5.93% to close at 12.415.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (DE:) which was down 5.03% to 55.75 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which lost 2.21% to settle at 41.24 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which was down 2.07% to 44.53 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) which rose 3.81% to 32.975, LPKF Laser & Electronics (DE:) which was up 3.38% to settle at 24.500 and Jenoptik AG (DE:) which gained 3.22% to close at 26.260.
The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.30% to 55.300 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which lost 2.21% to settle at 41.24 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which was down 2.07% to 44.53 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 566 to 144 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Continental AG O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.82% or 7.10 to 129.10. Shares in Fraport AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.04% or 3.680 to 55.925. Shares in Duerr AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.24% or 2.140 to 36.420.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 13.97% to 21.62 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.14% or 19.30 to $1679.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.60% or 1.06 to hit $65.03 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.63% or 1.13 to trade at $68.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.1856, while EUR/GBP fell 0.47% to 0.8569.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 92.332.
