Laura Dern says she spent just SEVEN MINUTES at the Golden Globes as she went on stage then home quickly for unusual ceremony due to the pandemic
Laura Dern spent just seven minutes at the Golden Globe awards.
The Big Little Lies actress donned a Givenchy suit to appear on stage at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday, but because of the precautions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic – which saw the winners and nominees connect via video link – she left the venue immediately after presenting the night’s first award, Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, to Daniel Kaluuya for Judas and the Black Messiah.
Laura shared a video on Twitter in which she praised event bosses for finding a ‘safe way’ to produce the ceremony, which was hosted by Amy Poehler in Los Angeles and Tina Fey from New York’s Rainbow Room.

‘I’m honoured to be here. I’m grateful everyone’s figured out a safe way to honour such amazing art this year.
‘Congratulations to Daniel Kaluuya and all of the amazing nominees. Such beautiful, incredible performances. Sending so much love and safety and wellbeing to everybody.’
She kept it simple: Instead of a colorful gown she wore a black suit with heels
