Bethenny Frankel sent the internet abuzz on Tuesday after it was reported she got ‘engaged’ to her on/off again boyfriend Paul Bernon.
But Frankel’s former Real Housewives Of New York City costars allegedly see the 50-year-old’s sudden engagement news as an ‘orchestrated’ move to shift attention away from the series’ season 13 trailer, which premiered Tuesday.
‘They’re all confused why she’s still obsessed with RHONY and would orchestrate her engagement news to come out the same time as the trailer for the show,’ a source told Page Six.
Talk of the town: Bethenny Frankel sent the internet abuzz on Tuesday after it was reported she got ‘engaged’ to her on/off again boyfriend Paul Bernon
‘Bethenny is just being her petty self, but she can’t take away the cast’s happiness or how hard they worked this season during the coronavirus pandemic.’
Frankel famously left RHONY in 2019, after eight seasons on the hit Bravo reality series.
She was part of the show’s inception in 2008 and remained part of the cast until its third season in 2010.
The Skinny Girl CEO returned to the franchise for its seventh season in 2015 and stayed on until season 11 in 2019.

As for the show’s current cast, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, Ramona Singer, Eboni K. Williams and Luann de Lesseps are all slated to return for the highly anticipated 13th season of the Real Housewives Of New York City.
A source also alleged to the outlet that the current cast ‘collectively feels like the show is so much better without [Frankel] and that she wouldn’t have been able to navigate the serious topics of this season.’
The trailer teased that all of the women will be delving into social justice issues, on top of their normal day-to-day drama.
Meanwhile, Bethenny is set to wed 42-year-old real estate developer Paul Bernon – whom she started dating in 2018, split from in late 2020 and got back together with earlier this year – according to People.

She was first seen flashing a very large diamond, which is believed to be her engagement ring, on her wedding finger over the weekend when on the beach in Miami.
Frankel’s spokesperson did not immediately return calls to DailyMail.com for comment.
The star has also recently finalized her divorce from Jason Hoppy after a long and contentious divorce process, according to PageSix. They reached the financial agreement in 2016.
But then spent the next five years arguing over the custody of their only child, Bryn, who is now aged 10.
Set to wed: Bethenny Frankel has reportedly become engaged. The Skinnygirl founder is set to wed her boyfriend since early 2018, real estate developer Paul Bernon, according to People
Bethenny and Paul had split in October last year. But in January the two seemed to be back on as she sat on his lap while they paid a visit to Miami-based artist Romero Britto’s studio.
The couple looked very much together in the video from Britto, which showed the ever-elegant Bethenny donning a palm frond skirt, fringed jacket and pearls.
They proceeded to go Instagram official with their reunion in February 2021.
Frankel and Bernon began dating in 2018 after her boyfriend Dennis Shields passed away at the age of 51 at the Trump Tower in New York City.

His official cause of death was listed as ‘undetermined’ since no autopsy was performed; there were reports he had suffered an overdose.
Bethenny was often seen with Paul on vacation in Europe as well as on the red carpet.
But they went their separate ways in October 2018. The Bravo alum explained that there was nothing bitter between the two, but rather ‘some things just don’t continue’ while appearing on the Ellen show shortly after the split.
At the time, she said the single life was fine: ‘I’m good, I’m good. You know, not everything works out!
‘So many people have tried to define my life – our lives – with ‘When are you getting engaged? When are you having a baby? When are you getting married?”
They have a bond: Though she is eight years older, they look the same age and seem to have a close bond; seen in January 2020
They have a lot of fun together: On vacation for Paul’s birthday as they share a kiss
‘And I’ve just realized more in life, with people being more open and honest about their lives and what they want, that everything doesn’t have to sort of end in a blue box and a bow.
‘We’ve had a great, great relationship and I’m really happy. Not everything has to end badly, some things just don’t continue and it’s not negative it’s just life.’
As far as finalizing her divorce from Hoppy, PageSix has claimed that a judge ‘signed off’ the papers on January 20.
They wed in 2010 and their nuptials became the subject of a reality TV spinoff, Bethenny Ever After
They are done: The 50-year-old star has also recently finalized her divorce from Jason Hoppy after a long and contentious divorce process, according to PageSix. Seen in 2014 with Bryn
The two then had a rough patch then split in December 2012 as Bethenny filed for divorce one month later.
From December 2012 until January 2021, Bethenny and Jason had a bitter fight over money and their daughter Bryn.
In 2017 an order was placed against Hoppy as he was charged with ‘harassing and stalking’ the reality TV maven in New York City. Jason then had to stay away from his ex for six months.
In October 2020 Frankel shocked fans when she said on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live that she was still technically wed to Hoppy.
The actress was married to Peter Sussman for one year in 1996 before she tied the knot with Hoppy.
